We are looking for two dynamic, motivated and German-speaking junior PostgreSQL support employees based in Germany and in Würzburg (Germany) to join our support team.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments using operators.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the high availability and performance of PostgreSQL databases through tools like Patroni.
- Monitor database health using Prometheus and create insightful dashboards in Grafana.
- Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database queries and performance.
- Utilize version control systems like Git for managing database-related code and configurations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for database configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of database systems and processes.
Key requirements
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of German and residence in Germany or Würzburg
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Kubernetes operators for PostgreSQL deployment.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Understanding of high availability solutions, especially Patroni.
- Proficient in Jira for issue tracking and Git for version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
